Removing Landmarks

The Yankee government is schizophrenic at best. In the latest case of removing landmarks, the cross was removed from the chapel at William and Mary. William and Mary cross . The cross was removed after ONE letter was received. This is a sad state of affairs. Not only have the religious institutions been overtaken by liberals, they now seek to remove all the vestiges of Christianity. I shouldn’t be surprised though, they Yankees committed numerous atrocities in our houses of worship during the war, using them as stables and such. The Mohammedeans have systematically removed Christian symbols in churches they have commandeered in the Middle East. The pattern is not new. Harvard, Princeton, Yale were all once religious and have since been secualrised as well. Now the University of the South and Liberty University are in the process of being succumbed to the forces of multiculturalism and political correctness.

Should we look to government to do anything? NO, they will just make it happen faster. Bush and his co-conspirator, Scalawag Alberto Gonzales took the plaques off the Texas Supreme Court building after ONE complaint was received as well. The sad part is that just weeks before, Bush stood by South Carolina on the flag issue and refused taking a stand to ask them to take it down. When complaints came his way, the tough talk faded and he cratered. In this case like a thief in the night, after hours on a Friday night had them removed. (Men love darkness because their deeds are evil).

The schizophrenic aspect is that the same government which does nothing to protect Christian or Confederate landmarks, much less schools named after Confederate heroes, will pursue persons who download music or movies with passion. When they are not directly involved they give tacit support to the  lawyers who are seeking  remedy in those cases. Scripturally copyrights and landmarks are in the same category. In a just nation, changing the name of a school or removing a landmark would receive the same justice as someone infringing on copyright infringements. I would never dream of changing a school named after Barbara Jordan or Martin Luther King to another name. The founders named it that for a reason. I just wish that other would show the same respect in removing the names of Lee, Forrest or Jackson from the names of schools and public buildings.

When the Yankee court system shows more respect for record label executives than it does for men and women who spilled their blood standing on principle, something is dreadfully wrong with the system. Such injustice also says something for the culture which produces it. It says that they value their entertainment more than they value true heroism. It also says that the culture quickly forgets those who have given their all for it.

There are many voices calling for keeping Christ in Christmas. Will these same voices be willing to keep Christ in their lives for the other 364 days of the year? Are they willing to keep Christ as their example, their teacher, their guide? How much Christ are they willing to allow into their lives? Will they follow his teachings enough to seek true justice, to respect his laws, including those about removing landmarks? about families?

We have been given the right to free speech, which includes what we name and call things. How far will the Yankees go in taking that freedom away from us before people speak up?

Remove not the landmarks which thy fathers have set.
