Happy Texas Independence Day

Texians!

Today is a day to celebrate. 171 years ago Texas declared her independence. Today on the streets of Austin, there were Texians who celebrated the Independence with a march, speeches and exercising their liberty. What better way to celebrate than to exercise liberty.Independence Day in Austin . What a joy that people are celebrating this day in Austin. Sadly little has been in the press about it. More is made of Cinco de Mayo celebrations in Austin than Independence day celebrations.

As Texians we need to recall that those brave souls who made their stand at Washington-on-the-Brazos were standing for a free and independent Texas. It was NOT about expanding the United States. Many of those men were wanted in the US. They were not about manifest destiny and getting more states, they were bout Texas. When David Crockett entered Texas, he took an oath of allegiance to Texas. His attitude was "You all can go to hell, I’m going to Texas". That is not a statement from a man who meant to expand the United States. He did not say, "I am going to expand the Yankee empire". The LIE that it was about taking the border of the Union to the Rio Grande and make the American empire landmass more congenial is hogwash. I have seen too many textbooks focused on  preaching the greatness of the Yankee vision of manifest destiny and how all those men fought in order to expand the area covered by the stars and stripes.

The fight at the Alamo was about Texas. Many Yankees have been working hard at hijacking our history and saying it was about expanding the US. It was about Texas. When Texans took a stand assisted by help from others it was for Texas. The political correctalls (yes I spelled it the way I wanted. Those people are like correctall laxative) want to make it into a celebration of all the states coming together to expand the US. That is a falsehood straight from the pit of Yankee Hell.

As Texians we need to reclaim our history and our celebrations. It is our day. Texas is not about the United States. We Texians declared independence from Mexico. Now the tyrant in chief wants to rejoin Mexico and turn back the efforts of those men and spit on their graves by giving away our borders.  He knows the claim of Texas independence was legitimate, and that annexation was illegitimate. Congress and the Supreme Court know it as well. Texas was joined into the union against the law. It was a shotgun marriage that needs to end.

Happy Birthday to Texas! We remember those who gave so much to bring about the birth of the Lone Star Republic. Thank you for your efforts and your blood. As a sixth generation Texian, the travesty of those who would steal the real story of Texas Independence and the Alamo from Texas and its Sons and Daughters makes my blood boil. This is a day for all REAL Texians to celebrate. The tyrant in chief is a Yankee feudal lord who owns land in Texas, he is not Texian in spirit or by birth. He is the 16th cousin to John Kerry for goodness sake! The Yankees are all related to each other and they accuse Southrons of such.

YEE Haw!

Free Texas, Not IRaq!
