Noose: acceptable speech or hate speech?

My how things change when one mixes politics with free speech. In the aftermath of Jena, even the display of a “noose” was defined as ‘hate speech’. When a conservative figure like Sarah Palin is hanged, it is deemed acceptable as Halloween decoration. The police refuse to consider it hate speech. Where is “Kerosene Maxine” (Watters) when such an expression of ‘hate speech’ is displayed? Although she is a CONgress critter from California, she is silent on that issues, and instead focuses on what is going on in Detroit, which is not her State.

The tune concerning hanging people in effigy suddenly changes when the effigy hanged is Barak Hussein Obama.  When Barak Hussein Obama was hanged in effigy, those involved were arrested!  Critics of the incident used the word ‘disgusting’ to describe their reactions to the effigy. It is shameful that law is enforced for conservatives, but not for those of the socialist persuasion. This is not justice! This is not rule of law, this is mob law.

Threats of violence are not the way to persuade people to one’s point of view. If such displays represent the feelings of the populous, tensions are high. The double standard of the media and culture architects of political correctness are clearly visible in these incidents.

Free Texas from such hypocrisy. If nooses are not to be tolerated, let it be. If they are to be tolerated, then do not outlaw them and refer to them as ‘hate speech’.

The people are already being screwed by Obama

Barry Sortero (aka Barak Hussein Obama) is already screwing the American people. The promised level where people would not have increases in taxes has already been changed from $250,000. down to $200,000. Have a look-see and decide for yourself.

Renegade CONgress critters!

What is Maxine Waters doing in Detroit? She is accountable to her constituents of California. She is elected to represent the citizens of her 35th CONgressional district in California. You can imagine my amazement when her district expanded to include Detroit, Michigan and Jena, Louisiana. As typical of her style, she is threatening to sue. She uses the courts and threat of courts to force her will upon whomever she chooses. She meddles in Louisiana and threatened them with court action and now she is in Detroit, threatening people with court action up there. If she was using the force of a gun rather than of the courts, she would be nothing more than a common robber travelling across the country and threatening to use force in order to take things that are not hers.

Change? It sounds more like a regression to beast-like laws, where force and threat, rather than justice and law are used to maintain order. In the early days of the Republic of Texas, lawsuits and threats were also used on a regular basis. Such kind of brigand law led to hangings and further violence. We need to move forward and use law and justice to restore order rather than threats.

When CONgress critters go renegade like this, it is a threat to all liberties.  Consider the potential threat when coupled with Barry Sortero/Barak Hussein Obama’s views on interpreting the Constitution:

And uh, to that extent, as radical as I think people tried to characterize the Warren Court, it wasn’t that radical. It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the Founding Fathers in the Constitution — at least as it’s been interpreted, and Warren Court interpreted it in the same way, that generally the Constitution is a charter of negative liberties: [It] says what the states can’t do to you, says what the federal government can’t do to you, but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

The empire is on the brink of many troubles. It is a time to pray.

Remembering CONgress Critters

Now that the heat is being turned up in the upcoming elections, a question that comes to mind is “Will the people remember what their CONgress Critters have done?” My CONgress critter, Nick Lampson was joined by Lloyd Doggett and Bernice Johnson in passing measures to honor Islam and Ramadan when it was only a few year ago that Texans were being beat up in Iran when the hostages were taken. I guess they forgot the hospitality given to the hostages in the Hotel Iran.  Nick also wanted to ban incandescent light bulbs, send aid to Iraqi children in HR1, sell weapons to Venezuela, and support of the hate crimes act.

Remember that Lloyd Doggett is a STRONG advocate of gun control, along with voting to keep the marriage penalty in place. Although places like Bastrop and Gonzales are in his district, he ignores the heritage and wishes of those constituents. Bastrop (Mexia) was the first Texas city to declare independence, Gonzales rose up against their Mexican oppressors over gun control. I guess Doggett has ignored his history and who he represents. Doggett also voted for the empire to take control of water, children’s education and to force us to use those gosh-awful, poisonous CFL light bulbs.  Although the communities along the San Marcos and Colorado rivers are in his district, do they realize that he is trying to give away rights to the waterways?

Doggett talks about being environmentally friendly, but the reality of his support for CFL bulbs puts poison like Mercury in Texas homes. These are not the values of Texas or the people of Texas that he purportedly represents.

Although Nick Lampson’s ads attack Pete Olsen for moving around and voting in different states, no one seems to question how a large portion of Nick Lampson’s money comes from out of state. It seems he is financed from sources outside of Texas. Another major contributor is lawyers. Do we need more of this kind of stuff?

He also focuses on what he did to help with Hurricane Ike relief. Yes, he helped arrange for a government information intake center. This did little to improve the efficiency of the bureaucracy or get aid directly to the victims. He did rub elbows with the victims of Shoreacres at a local festival, but little help came from the government if you were a renter or or good steward of your situation. He also racked up $40 million in pork barrel projects for his district. Despite all his work at expanding government buracracy at a regional level, the victims of Ike had little to show for it.

Remember also the meddling that various CONgress critters did in Jena, Lousisiana. Remember how Shiela Jackson Lee decided to do some extra negotiating with that socialist regime.

It helps to remember what the hired help did during their term. Did they advance Southern freedoms? Did they improve your quality of life? Did they take stands for what was right? I know that John Culberson worked toward increasing freedoms, yet there are few that can claim that designation. He openly spoke out against ACORN getting a hand out with the bailouts that have been passed.

Remember before you vote.

Prepare for the Culture Wars

One thing that Southrons need to recognize is that if one of the major political parties wins the election, our culture is endangered. The best way to deal with the danger is to recognize it  and prepare yourself and your family for the assault on our culture and values. Even now, those holding traditional values are ridiculed in many parts of the empire. One of the major challenges posed by multiculturalism is how it waters down all cultures. It presents all cultures as having equal values. Although this kind of rhetoric may play well in speeches, in reality, it does not work. Cultures are not interchangeable. The values of a culture influence the thinking of its people. Eventually cultural values make their way into the laws of nations. When a culture losses its values, it is taken over by another culture that takes its place.

There are some in the empire that view those who have traditional Biblical values as a threat. Cultures will always have values. The dominant culture shapes the values more directly than the other cultures. In many ways, the values of a culture provide the foundations for the laws and legal decisions in those cultures.

Some of the ways to preserve your culture include:

1. Attend those events that celebrate your own culture. Associate with those who share your values and vision.

2. Focus your attention on strengthening your family, rather then running them ragged through activities.

3. Pray for the leaders of the empire and the Southron movement.

4. Learn your history. Not just American history, but focus on State and local histories as well. The more you understand the times in which you and your family live, the better equipped you become in dealing with such matters.

5. Cherish your culture rather than hide it. Pass on to your children what it means to be a Texian.

Is this the kind of change people want?

Barak Hussein Obama/Barry Sortero and his liberal friends on “The View” further illustrate the kind of change that will be seen if he is elected. When Obama was called a “communist” the panel reacted with disdain, yet the co-host Joy Behar,  called Rush Limbaugh a “terrorist”. This is the same kind of tactic used by the SPLC when it demonises those who speak out. The Obama regime is not honourable and do not play fair. They resort to name calling, taunting and assault when things are going their way and when things are not going their way. When I have seen people do such things before, they were called thugs. Obama told his supporters to “get in the face” of the opposition. It seems they have done more than “get in their face”. Such tactics were used by Adolf Hitler and his storm troopers in the days headed toward his election. What else can be expected from an Illinois politician,  whose mentors include William Ayers and Jeremiah Wright, both of whom advocate violent messages to their followers? If Obama’s socialist ideas were so wonderful, then the need to use such tactics would not be necessary. Even at his worst political tricks, LBJ did not resort to such gestapo and storm trooper type tactics.

Precedents set by Lincoln

One of the reasons that the Southern States expressed outrage at Lincoln was how he issued a call for the invasion of the South without Congressional approval and BEFORE he was sworn into office. His actions set dangerous precedents for the leader of a regime. Lincoln often showed disregard for the Constitution and law as has some of the candidates for the office of tyrant in chief . The Chief executive officer has been known to exercise the “fabled war powers” associated with being the Commander in Chief, even before being sworn in. (The war powers are fabled, since they are based on Lincoln’s reading of the Constitution. He managed to find things ‘between the lines’ that other scholars did not see.)

The story of Lincoln taking action before being sworn in takes on new significance when people like Colin Powell is already talking about how Obama will face a crisis within days of taking the election.

Knowledge of history reduces the possibility of manipulation

People separated from their history are easily persuaded.”

– Karl Marx

Given that many subjects in the empire are either ignorant of history of have been raised on a sanitized or PC-version of history, they have effectively been separated from their history. Being that they have been severed from their roots and facts, they are easily manipulated and persuaded.

Karl Marx knew this. When the socialists and communists rose up in various places in Europe in 1848, they were seeking stronger centralised government control. They were wanting to do away with independent sovereign states. Those leading the revolution were advocating “change”. The revolutionaries idealized Marx and Engels seeking to put their ideas into practice. It was this revolution that Lincoln praised the right of people to choose the government they live under. Is it by chance that when the socialist uprising failed, that many of the military leaders who were involved ended up in theYankee army? Is it by chance that the Yankee army often used European immigrants to fight their war of occuapation for them? Is it by chance that many United States troops were indoctinated under the leadership of socialist commanders to worship the centralized state and accept socialist dogma?

The tyrant Lincoln later changed his tune when the Southron states chose to exercise their Rights and leave the Union of States. (I know the critics will say that secession is illegal. Secession was NEVER declared illegal. Even in Texas v. White, which is often cited, secession was acknowledged by the Supremes as being a legal right.) Since people are ignorant of history and the law, they assume that secession is illegal or invalid.

We need to know history. We need to know Texas history.

Learning from history

obama.jpgI always enjoyed the story of how Vladamir Lennin played word games with the people. Although his political party was smaller than the others, he named it “Bolsheviks” (majority). He learned that by changing the label, you change the way people think about it. It seems that Barak Hussein Obama (Barry Sortero) has not only idealized Che Gueverra who was a fellow Lenninite but he also uses Lennin like tactics.moussolini.jpg

In his latest, he refers to attacks from his competition as “small” and “ugly” politics. It seems that his associations with Mohammedean regimes, groups that bombed government agencies, and voter fraud are now defined as “small”.  Although common sense  tells us that hanging around dogs with fleas will give you fleas, in Barry Sortero’s world, the normal rules do not apply to him. By using the label, “small” , he dismisses issues that are important.

It is more than ironic that his campaign posters are reminiscent of those by the Fascist regime in Italy. They also used the one word campaign slogan of “SI”, whereas Sortero used the one word slogan, “Change” or “Hope”.  When a politician defines and focuses their campaign on adjectives, they can avoid dealing with the real issues. The Obama campaign has learned how to deceive, package and trick the masses from the historic precedents. Although he may not have personally studied the campaigns of such dictators, someone in his campaign has. Like the tyrant Lincoln, who was the product of a political machine, it seems that Illinios has another candidate that is the product of a machine.

He speaks what he is trained to say. He doesn’t know how many states are in the empire, yet is portrayed as intelligent. He has less experience than Palin in balancing budgets and running a government, yet, he attacks her level of experience. Such double talk was used by Lennin and is now used by Obama. The tyrant Lincoln likewise was full of double speak as well. Remember what Lincoln brought in terms of mass murders, wholesale slaughter of citizens, and property, and often operating outside of the Constitution.

As a Southron,  we have learned very well that dictators are dangerous to freedoms and liberties.  What they say and what they do are very opposite each other. We need only listen to what is really being said and look at the images they use in the campaigns to gather a glimpse of what is going on.

Freedom of speech in Texas

Texas has a long tradition for freedom of speech. In the early days of the Republic, citizens had tremendous freedom of speech. People were able to just about anything they wanted to. During those days, lack civility in language was often condemned by the decent law abiding people of the community. Citizens knew what was acceptable talk and what was not. When the censure of the ‘law-abiding’ citizenry did not keep people in line, duels and the threat of lawsuits did. In the early Republic, taking people to law was a common occurrence. Although this practice was rampant for a while, the law abiding citizenry often looked down on such actions like frivolous lawsuits as well. (I know all lawyers think the suits they file are legit, and they claim they have never heard of a frivolous suit.  Such lawyers need to wake up to common sense and ask a man on the street, who often have a better sense of what is frivolous and what is not).

The practice of dueling also made society more respectful of each other as well. Another freedom, the right to bear arms, also made society more respectful. Texans placed a high value on their arms and the RIGHT to carry them.

Although the local Bible preaching church at one time educated people of what decent behavior is, with fewer churches preaching from the Bible, coupled with the decreasing respect and fear of God, this part of the checks and balances on freedom of speech is no longer in place.

When there is no checks and balance on freedom of speech, the government often resorts to force as a way to put limits on what people say. Rather than having ‘freedom’, the subject are allowed ’speech codes’. These speech codes dictate what is and is not allowed to say and address. The idea of using a code or law to know what should be said or not said is not new. The Bible did this as well. What is different is that it is based on the opinions or policies of a bureacrat, rather than having the authority of the Word of God behind it.

Freedom of speech is a tradition in Texas. What has changed is how ‘decent speech” is defined and  handled. Texas has lost a great deal as society has decided to use other methods of “respectful speech”.

Although there are many fantasies about the “Wild West” or “Old days in Texas”, the reality, was that people had a respect for authority. Decent speech was controlled by self-control rather than a government using force or the threat of force to limit what is said.  There is still some freedom of speech left, which must be protected.  We have the choice of self-control or “law of the jungle” in trying to keep our freedoms.
