In the news is another case of how local efforts pay off. In the panhandle of Texas, local groups took action against Planned Parenthood. After a 12-year battle, the local group (American Life League) won and forced the Planned Parenthood abortion mills clinics to be shut down. The local effort was part of a campaign entitled Stop Planned Parenthood (Stopp). This shows that local efforts do pay off. Local efforts are what turns economies around, not federal interventions. This is a wonderful way to start 2009-No more murder and death via abortion in the Panhandle of Texas.
We can make 2009 a breathrough year by continuing to focus on our mission. I knew the goal of independence is a long-term one when I began my association with the League. Progress has been made, and there is more to go.
Look at what 2008 brought:
1. The Southern National Congress met.
2. Secession became a mainstream topic of discussion. It was no longer seen as something only fringe groups address and promote.
3. The League’s own Donnie Kennedy entered the 2008 Presidential Race.
4. The League of the South continues gaining international exposure in our mission for a free South.
5. The election of the usurper has brought an influx of new members into our organization.
Secession and Independence will be achieved step by step. No one will give it to us, we are faced with the challenge of reclaiming our nation piece by piece. Some of the things that you can do in 2009 to bring us closer include:
1. Buy local. Shop local businesses, purchase local produce, and support local events.
2. Exercise your freedom to bear arms.
3. Remove your support of the regime. You do not have to consent to servitude.
4. Stay informed and share news with other Southrons.
5. Pray for our Texas, our Southern nation and its leaders. Pray with your children, and grandchildren. Teach them about the Bible.
6. Give serious consideration to growing your own produce and or livestock.
7. Educate yourself, your children and grandchildren about Texas and the South. Teach them about how the Secession of Texas from Mexico included issues of religious freedom. Teach the importance of law, especially common law. Teach them about the Christian character of men like Robert E. Lee, Stonewall Jackson, Leonidas Polk, B. F. Terry, Patrick Cleburne, and other courageous leaders of the South and Texas. It was not by accident that the early French settlers focused on bringing in Bibles to Texas. If you do not know these stories, you need to learn them. Children need role models and examples beyond the sports figures and rock stars that mainstream culture puts in front of our children.
8. With 2009 being the 200th anniversary fo the birth of the tyrant Abraham Lincoln, you owe it to yourself and your family to learn the truth about him. Much of the empire’s power rests on the myths which it promotes. Some of the more powerful myths are those surrounding Abraham Lincoln and the War of Northern Aggression. (Another one of their myths is that secession is equal to treason or disloyalty).
9. If you can’t buy local products, then focus on supporting Texas or Southern businesses. If you have a choice concerning whether to purchase oranges grown in Texas or those grown in California, choose Texas. Purchase Texas butter and dairy products.
10. Quit shopping at Wal-Mart and other stores that are not friendly to the South.
11. Start local groups that focus their attention on improving the local community. Whether it be a local food co-op, local shooting club, local book club, etc.
12. Barter!-it drives the empire nuts.
13. Elect local people to political office that are supportive of secession.
14. Love your wife and your children. Spend time with them. Do things with them. If you can not spend face to face time, write to them on a regular basis.
If the people in Texas did these simple tasks, by the end of 2009, we will be a lot closer to freedom, have stronger local communities, stronger local economies, and stronger families.
Free Texas!
