Call it ironic timing, but the Houston Chronicle published a news item where the Hussein regime claims that Texas will gain from cap and trade. The Hussein administration also said that anyone who made $250,000 or less would not have their taxes raised, which have been raised on tobacco (twice), soon to be raised on energy and will be taxed on healthcare, not to mention being indebted for two generations. The really ironic thing is that this item appeared just prior to the CONgress voting on the cap and trade. The vote was largely partisan with few democrats not voting the party line. The only half-way courageous democrat who dared to say no was Ciro Rodriguez. At least he recognizes that the bill was not good for Texas and his district. Many other CONgress critters sold their souls and supported the bill. Lloyed Doggett talked opposition, and has material on his website where he does not like the bill, but in terms of actions, he voted for it. (He also voted to force the other kinds of light bulbs on us as well). He is like many of the CONgress Critters who say one thing and do another, which is why one must look at what they do, NOT what they say.
While the CONgress critters were selling their souls on cap and trade, the regime was handing down dictates on energy standards for such household items as lamps, ceiling fan light kits, dishwashers, clothes dryers and other items. Make no mistake, the Hussein regime is pushing us into a third world existence. The American household will be changed by his meddling. Rather than secure the borders and taking care of their responsibilities, they prefer meddling in areas that according to the Constitution, they do not have the authority to meddle in, but much like his other comments, that is an “worn out argument” and old way of looking at things.
