Secession is the only viable answer

For those who have been associated with the League of the South in Texas since its beginnings over 12 years ago, you have seen many changes. When the Texas chapter held its first meeting in Houston, those in attendance knew that change was needed. Few would have guessed that in about a dozen years, the topic of secession would be front page news in Texas. In Texas, we know in our hearts the truth about secession and yearn for the liberty that only comes with independence. Since that first meeting, we have seen the federal government take more of our money, sent more of our sons and daughters (and now wives) to fight in imperialistic wars and has racked up more debt than we even dreamed of in that first meeting.

In those early days, many people did not want to associate with the League because of “secession“. Now those who criticised us, are among those clamoring for secession. The League has always advocated that option because the system is broke and cannot be fixed. It would be nice to return to the Constitutional roots of the founding of the United States, yet many Supreme Court rulings, Executive orders and dereliction of duty bymany CONgress critters makes that option unobtainable.

Consider that in the news, a great deal is being made about how Tony Blair ignored how the Iraq War was illegal. Illegal wars are not a new item for us. In the League, we were aware that the whole military venture in the Balkans was illegal. We were vocal about the whole escapade. When the troops were told to wear UN blue, only one brave soul stood up for his country. When he went to court to defend his action, he was told that although the war was ‘illegal’ , since Congress did not stand up to the Clinton regime, nothing would be done about it.

While on the topic of political shenanigans, many nations are pitching a fit that Honduras would dare to have elections. Some of the nations are claiming that there can be no fair elections under military occupation. At the League, we agree with that sentiment. There were no free elections in the occupied Confederate States, and like the nations that refuse to recognize the elections in Honduras, they should likewise refuse to recognize the military occupation of the Southern States. I doubt that Brazil, Argentina and those other countries would have the ca-hones to take such a stand. Taking such stands is easier with Honduras which is smaller. Taking such a stand with the United States would take courage. So, with that being said, should Honduras be able to mind their own business? If yes, then fine, all peoples need to be able to select their own governments. If other nations want to meddle in the affairs of others, there needs to be less hypocrisy. If military occupation is bad for Honduras, then it is bad for the Southern Confederacy as well. If the military occupation of Palestine is bad for Palestinians, then why aren’t those same people protesting the military occupation of Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Tennessee, Virginia, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Maryland and Missouri? ——(the sound of crickets chirping)——–

I do not expect China to recognize the Southern States and our cause since they want to justify their occupation of Tibet. It is no wonder that many in China revere the tyrant Lincoln.

The fact are the Southern States were occupied militarily. We were in a military district and not even recognized as a State back then. That occupation never ended. The foundation of the Constitution was violated then and remains violated. If it had been followed, there would not have been enough States in Congress to conduct business. Congress has operated in violation of the Constitution for a LONG time. We can not return. The only option is secession. The only way to preserve our liberties is secession from an empire that ignores our values, and culture. They have ignored our morals in passing laws that are repugnant to our values and morals. The empire has removed symbols of our faith and ridiculed our heritage. The empire does not respect family values, much less Biblical values. Trying to take the government back to those foundations will not be possible. Secession is necessary if we desire our posterity to have liberty, and not be part of the debt slavery of the empire.

United Collapse of America

The usurper Barack Hussein Obama made it into the history books with his taking office as head of the regime. He may also be head of the regime in power when the empire collapses. It is one thing when the League talks about the abuses of the empire, it is quite something else when a Saudi columnist writes of his presiding over the collapse. We are not the only ones seeing the writing on the wall. The regime also wants to continue full speed ahead with even more spending.

Texas versus California

A telling blog entry comparing Texas and California. It reveals the many differences between our peoples and the values they adhere to. http://blog.american.com/?p=7451

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! Remember that Jefferson Davis proclaimed Thanksgiving BEFORE Abraham Lincoln did. Remember that President Sam Houston declared Thanksgiving before that. We have a proud heritage of Thanksgiving that existed BEFORE we were hoodwinked into joining this claptrap of a Union.

Ft. Hood and Southron Law

If the South was under Southron Law rather than the imperial dictates of Mordor on the Potomac, the terrorist attack at Ft. Hood would not have occurred. Texas has a right to carry law, and had that been in place rather than the federal decrees, the soldiers would not have died. Furthermore, the soldiers would not have the rules of engagement that they currently have to endure in Afghanistan.

Under Southron Law, the specter of political correctness would not have allowed for the jihadist to have remain in his position in the armed forces. Had Southron Law, which would have maintained tighter immigration laws rather than the loose laws put in place under Kennedy’s immigration law, such incidents would not have occurred.

Southron Law would not apologize for the faith and heritage of this nation. It would have protected the borders and allowed soldiers to carry their weapons upon themselves in the military base. The right to bear arms and would have been respected. The present problem is not about gun control, it is about the empire transforming the law and courts. It is about the Supreme Court not allowing State Law to prevail. It is about the removal of freedoms from the citizenry. It is about an executive branch who selectively enforces laws and refuses to protect the borders which is its responsibility. It is about an executive branch who hamstring the military from performing their duties by using them as guinea pigs for social programs rather than allowing them to function as the armed forces which they are.

When the ‘enemy’ attacked, he would have been taken out promptly. Look at how armed Texans took out the UT tower shooter. Had Texas law prevailed, then the shooter would have been ‘neutralized’ sooner.

The occurrence of  the Ft. Hood terrorist attack and subsequent handling of the affair is a testament of how the system is ‘broken’. Consider how Ft. Hood is reportedly a highly secured military installation yet despite the security, weapons are not allowed inside. The military are not allowed to police their own ranks. Being politically correct is more important than speaking the plain truth.

We need a return to sanity. We need independence. It is only with independence that any kind of sane laws can be made and enforced. It is only through independence that our borders will be secured and liberties enjoyed and passed on to posterity. A return to independence would mean our leaders would stand tall, bowing to no other nation. Instead we have an administration that wants to burden us with debt, help out rouge nations, apologize for our values and culture, and bow to foreign dignitaries. We have a Congress who wants to tell us how much electricity we can use and what kind of light bulbs we can buy.

Remembering Tunnel Hill

The 25th of November marks the anniversary of a key engagement in the struggles for our independence. On that day, the brave men of Granburry’s Texas Brigade held off two Yankee assaults on their position with rocks. Although many of their fellow Southrons left nearby Missionary Ridge, the Texas Brigade held firm. In their resolve, when they ran out of ammunition, they began using rocks to hold off the attacks. Their creative efforts worked and their position held. We can learn from their example. We need to hold the high ground, stand firm and be resourceful in holding against the attacks of contemporary culture and the empire. Men with resolve do make a difference. The action of that brigade helped save the Army of Tennessee from a disastrous outcome.

When we are outnumbered and out gunned, it helps to remember the example they set for us. As we approach Thanksgiving, let us give thanks for our Texas and Southron culture. Let us remember the sacrifice of the men in that thin grey line. Let us express gratitude for those generations who went before and paid the ultimate price to give us the Bible. Men like Jan Huss, and Thomas Wycliffe. They paved the way for us. Let us give thanks to those Statesmen like Thomas Jefferson, Alexander Stevens, Jefferson Davis, John Calhoun, and Patrick Henry who gave us a unique legacy.

Let us learn the lessons of Goliad, and the Alamo about the promises of a tyrannical government. Thankfully their story has been preserved.

Let us turn from wickedness and seek after righteousness with renewed strength and vigor. The sacrifices of those previous generations was not in vain.

Thank the Lord for Texas and the South!

Copyrights and Plagiarism

I recently attended a play. During the intermission, I was struck by a question asked by a person nearby. They asked “I wonder if they have permission to play that music?” It struck me odd that they would pose such a weird question, but I was on a campus of the University of Texas system. I wondered why do they dare ask such questions of a theater company, yet do not ask such questions about Martin Luther King Jr’s. writings? Such is the double standard of the liberal mindset. In ancient days, they used the phrase “straining at a gnat and swallowing the camel” to convey this idea. To be more concerned about the music played during intermission, while allowing plagiarizers to remain unchallenged when they are in the public arena. The questions in my mind on hearing the music was whether or not it was good.

The question taught me some things about modern liberal education in Texas. It trains the kids to think in wrong headed ways. They question things that don’t matter and ignore the items that do matter. Rather than being concerned with whether the song was a ‘good one’ (it was a Johnny Cash song, BTW), they worry about whether someone gave permission for them to use it. (On an ironic note, Cash was accused of plagiarism for his Folsom Prison Blues, as was Michael Jackson for some of his work).

I also had to recall that this was part of the University of Texas system. That system emphases an odd policy of not allowing the students to receive academic help which other students do not have access to. It is a form of ‘leveling the playing field’. Rather than allow the students to use whatever resources for study they have at their disposal, it is a matter of ‘in the name of fairness’ that one has to only use sources that other students have equal access to as well.  (It sounds socialist to me!).  In my thinking, the true Texas way is to be your best. If you can out think or be more creative in your studies, —go for it!. It reminds me of when liberals were using ‘play fair’ games, where the emphasis was on ‘playing fair’ rather than learning how to win or master the game. In Texas and the South, we like to win. If UT’s football team used the same rules as their academics, they would not excel like they do. They are out to win rather than ‘play fair’.

We need Texans who want to win. We need students who are willing to use their creativity and be rewarded rather than punished for it. We need them to question things that matter, rather than ’straining at gnats’. If the educational system wants to strain at the gnats, then they need to do so across the board rather than be selective. If they will not tolerate plagiarism for the students, they ought not to tolerate it in terms of the heroes they promote and the scholars whose writings they wish to archive.

The Southern way is one of honesty. If you are going to write, it is important to give credit where credit is due.  The Yankee way is one of hypocrisy and trying to take things through sneakiness and craft. If you can’t get it honestly, then do it through courts or through manipulating the law.

Science or a dog and pony show at the White House?

Talk about timing! The regime is conducting a full court press with a speech on the importance of science and math in education.  Among those to be at the White House are big Bird, the muppets and the Usurper himself. There will also be a cadre of ‘approved’ scientists there as well. As a Southron, the whole event is surreal. The President sharing the stage with the muppets. Does this mean we need to take the muppets seriously or that the President is a joke. Bear in mind that the muppets have always catered to a socialist mentality, so I guess Obama is just the latest visitor to their neighborhood.

To make matters even more interesting, the myths surrounding global warming and man-made climate disasters were dealt a blow when the email accounts of some of the major alarmists were hacked and posted on the net. The emails reveal falsification of data, and misleading the people with their lies. They padded information and knew they were doing it. The media screamed when big tobacco companies did it, but have been largely silent as the man-made global warming myth is exposed.  Bear in mind, one of those involved is Phil Jones, who is one of Al Gore’s major advisers. What is the reply of the scientists? They claim that the emails were ‘taken out of context’.  Out of context? The were falsifying data to make things look worse. They were creating a false alarm. They were shouting fire in the theater, and now they claim they were taken out of context.

Being that Climate is a major focus of the regime, they need to do some damage control to their precious agenda. The science does not support their agenda. Sadly the politicos are using political and group psychology techniques like ‘consensus’ to force their agenda rather than allow for scientific debate. The empire does not tolerate truth and open debate. Instead they want scripted photo ops and their dog and pony shows. Although the press builds the events at the White House today as science, it is just another ’spectacle’ and photo op designed to promote their agenda.

We need freedom. We need freedom of ideas, which includes open scientific debate. We need the rigor of true science that provides facts rather than the spectacle that allows science consensus that supports policy. Even Al Gore wants more computers and computer models to help with his global warming by giving us more graphic examples of climate models.  Even the cover of his latest book  (Our Choice: A Plan to Solve the Climate Crisis) contains ‘enhanced’ images of the earth showing hurricanes moving in directions and in places that are not possible. Given the lies on the cover, who can tell what kind of lies and falsehoods are on the inside? It is my suspicion that given the behavior of his adviser, the use of easily manipulative computer models and his embracing of ‘consensus’ science rather than real science spell bad information in this volume.

Living in Texas, we know that the computer models of hurricanes and other weather phenomena are not to be trusted. Even with the numbers of times that the models are wrong the public are expected to believe MORE computer models which are more based on programming than on science.

Beware the smart meter

In an effort to keep Southrons aware of the dangers to freedom there is often information overload. Freedoms are being attacked on a daily basis in modern society. Although I have mentioned it before one of the new dangers are the smart meters. The regime is pushing for its “smart grid” which amounts to centralized control of the utility companies. By using the mantra of ’saving energy’ , they plan on placing these snoop and control devices on homes across Texas. The way they have packaged it, to oppose the smart meters and smart grids makes one look like someone who does not want to save money or care about the environment.

Such ploys are common with the mindset that we are up against. In the name of ’saving energy’, the smart meter will monitor our times of use and amount of electricity used. What was the matter with the old ‘pay as you use method?’. If you wanted to save money, you used less electricity. Now the government wants to monitor your use and what electrical devices you have in place in your home. This is nothing more than more nannyism and central planning which is a hallmark of socialist political models.

Rather than allow for decentralized electrical grids, they want a centralized grid. They want the control to turn the power off when they wish. They want to control where power goes. Never mind that California has messed itself up with their socialist policies which make energy cost there prohibitive, the smart grid will save them. Now they have all the power they want at the expense of others. It is akin to energy welfare, not to mention an invasion of privacy.

The smart grid is not your friend. The smart meter is not to be welcomed with open arms. Rest assured, that with men like Al Gore and his alarmist myths which he passes off as science pushing for the smart grid, there are evil plans in the works.

BEWARE the Smart Grid and Smart Meters!

The Audacity of …..

When the head of the current regime was campaigning for office, he devoted a great amount of rhetoric to jobs that were heading offshore.

“(I) will stop giving tax breaks to companies that ship jobs overseas, and I will start giving them to companies that create good jobs right here in America.

He claimed that he wanted the jobs to stay at home and quit being sent offshore (even though his policies say otherwise). The policies his administration and their conspiratorial allies in Congress have put in place will accomplish just the opposite of that. They know that the oppressive policies they have passed will hurt or cripple businesses and families. In the latest round of audacity, Nancy Pelosi is wanting to impose a tax on financial transactions around the world. It was not bad enough to tax us, (realize that the Constitution specifically does not allow direct taxation of the people, but since when does that matter? She has not wanted to operate under the Constitutional restraints as it is) now she wants to keep businesses from conducting their operations internationally. She wants WORLD Taxing Authority. That is as close to narcissistic megalomania as one can get. Next thing you know she will want herself proclaimed “Empress”.

It is my hope that sovereign people around the world will not fall for her lies. The British are already taxed obnoxiously by their government. Over there, they are considering taxing the homes which have a pleasant view.  To add salt in the wound, the British government officials say they have to learn from the US. It seems that Nancy Pelosi and her ilk are setting a bad example.

We need less government. We need a government that abides by the limits of the Constitution, that respects the rule of law, rather than one that abuses its power. This is a time that jobs are needed at home, rather than government forcing them offshore.

How much bang for the buck in Texas?

The Recovery.Gov site is a fascinating tool for tracking where the empire has squandered money. Given that seeing where the money goes provides and indication of what is important to them. Here in Texas, $1,826,240,000 has been spent so far. That is 1.8 BILLION spent. What do they have to show for it? 19,572 jobs. It does not take a rocket scientist to figure out that is over a million dollars per job. It would be nice to have one of those million dollar jobs.

My CONgress critter is up there in the top five. In the 25th District, $1, 722, 914,979 has been given which has provided 566.8(yes that is .8) jobs. How Lloyd Doggett managed to secure 1.7 BILLION of the stimulus is a mystery. Could it be because he supports all that Peolosi wants, could it be that this CONgressman who opposed going into debt for the previous tyrant has no qualms about going into debt for a new tyrant just because his party is in office? We will never know the truth on that. What I do know is that it is good that he has a government job, because if he was in the private sector, spending 1.7 BILLION for a lousy 566.8 jobs would be seen as bad business. I bet those 566.8 people enjoy those high paying government jobs.

The big winner is Lamar Smith’s 21st Congressional district. He received 3.2 BILLION for 10,095.3 jobs. His ratio of dollars for jobs is a little better than Doggett’s although there are questions about how much bang he got for the buck on that one as well. What do they have in common? They both represent parts of Travis County. They are congressional district neighbors (gee, how quaint). Isn’t it interesting that 10,000 of the reported 19,000 jobs saved in Texas are in the 78701 zip code, which is downtown  Austin? Hmmm…Isn’t that almost the bulk of jobs credited to Lamar Smith? Hmmm… the statisticians wouldn’t be double counting jobs for the report would they?

We need less federal government intrusion. We need more accountability and better business sense in government officials. With the unemployment rate near 20%, we need more than a paltry amount of jobs. Reducing the taxes on businesses and people would do more to create jobs than all this stimulus is doing.

We need LESS government, rather than more government that does less.
