Upcoming restrictions

Years ago, on attending the first annual Bonnie Blue Ball, I spoke with Ron Paul about several issues. At that time, in the aftermath of 9-11, there were many laws being pushed to control the flow and reporting of money. He discussed that after controlling the money, next would be control of our movements/travel. With the recent ‘jihad’ attacks, further restrictions on travel have been implemented. Dr. Paul was right with an uncanny accuracy on that one. My own suspicions are that next will be restrictions on our speech and behavior. We are already seeing censorship of items related to the location of Obama’s birth/his Constitutionality to serve, the scientific facts regarding what is behind weather cycles (and it is not man-made), presentations on intelligent design, Geert Wilders presentations on what is happening in Europe, etc.

The censorship of such items represents attempts to control and manipulate the thinking of the people. Here in Texas, the city of Arlingson saw the court case of  “Kaufman v. The Islamic Society of Arlington County, Texas. Fortunately, the court protected free speech in that community which is under increased attacks on freedom. In the case, the protections of free speech were extended to material posted on the internet. The reporter, Kaufman had exposed Kaufman’s article exposed the Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) and the Islamic Association of Northern Texas (IANT) ties to the radical terrorist group Hamas. Several groups did not like his reporting and took him to court. (Look at what Hamas had done to relations between groups in the middle east, and now groups seek to do the same here).

Such restrictions on free speech will impact Southrons as well. A government that has shown little regard for the other amendments will not likely respect the freedom of speech or the freedom to gather together in public for very long.

Liberty for Texas and the South!
