Is it just me or do others find Michelle Obama’s prescription for childhood obesity hypocritical in nature. She manages to see the problem of obesity, followed up with recommendations for self-discipline and self-control. This is coming from a regime that has not shown self-discipline in its policies or budgets. This is coming from a political party that ridicules programs which emphasize self-control as in the “just say no”. (Rather than just say no, we should have a program where we “just call it sin”. Learning to say no to an enjoyable activity is a challenge. Learning to say no to sinful behavior is achievable.)
Self-discipline is not something that the Obama regime is known for, yet they expect that out of others. (Double standard there Barry).
Let us assume that the first lady is correct. We need States to just say ‘no’ to the federal monster and unsavory federal policies. We need self-discipline in taking care of our own business and not allowing the federal government to interfere with our health care choices. Just say no to government interference. Just say no to tyrannical policies. Just say no to perversion being presented in the classrooms. (Here is a real double standard. The regime advocates uncontrolled perverts in the classroom encouraging kids to give in to their impulses, yet the first lady wants more self-discipline). Just say no to voter intimidation on election day.
The first lady also has the audacity to proclaim that childhood obesity is a threat to ‘national security‘. She is a woman who refuses to disclose the nature of why her law license is suspended. Her husband refuses to release other personal records that could endanger the legitimacy of his holding office. Given these factors, for her to claim that this issue is a “NATIONAL SECURITY’ concern is absurd.
The message of the first lady has become meaningless rhetoric due to the extreme double standard this regime has shown in its policies. They need to decide whether self-control is something they preach about or something they live BEFORE they force others to submit to their programs.
