A Tale of Two Nations

In the past week, many international events have unfolded. In Sudan, the southern part of that nation, which is mostly Christian voted to secede from the Muslim north. In the secession vote, an astonishing 95% of the people voted for secession. Independence is scheduled to be declared in July. Little has been in the news about the secession vote.

In it’s neighbor to the north, Egypt there has been an uprising. The Muslim Brotherhood has instigated an uprising in many major cities of the nation. The government has scrambled to squelch the uprising. Although officially, the empire has supported the government of that nation, the empire has also been funding the destabilizing elements as well. The funding is not an Obama thing, since it has been going on for three years, which places its beginnings with the Bush regime, although the Obama regime has continued this action. Like British colonialism at its peak, the empire is playing both sides in Egypt. This is classic British policy in action. Although the empire is not Britain, the policy is the same, and being played out in the Middle East, where the Brits often used such a strategy in the past. History literally is repeating itself.

Even now the regime’s appointed Secretary of State, is convening all the empire’s ambassadors regarding the situation in Egypt.
Even as she convenes such a meeting, Obama is being proclaimed as the President who lost Egypt and Tunisia. It seems that the international community is seeing that the regime is powerless to ‘protect’ its stated friends. Ironically, the same regime has been financing the enemies of those who it claims to protect.

The Egyptian debacle is the one in the news. The reporting is almost as if the whole thing is a dry run for what is likely to unfold in other nations that do not toe the party line of the kingmakers.

What does this mean for Texas and the South?

The empire could use the Egypt episode for fear mongering. They could use the episode to pass the newest version of the Patriot Act, in order to make it more justifiable. The police state needs myths in order to continue its existence and policies.

The empire could also use the Egypt episode as a template for how to quash a popular uprising. Rather than allow the South a vote on whether or not we want to stay in the empire, they force us to remain against our will.

There are many lessons to be learned from the tale of two nations.

PS- A news story came out that the State Department has held a secret meeting with the Muslim Brotherhood regarding Egypt after the change in regime there. This is just further evidence of the empire using the British Middle East playbook, where you play one side against the other.

“My constituency is ill-informed”

If you live in the 18th congressional district of Texas, your representative has branded you as ill-informed. Yes, Sheila Jackson-Lee, (a New York born and Yale educated politico) has announced that her constituents are ill informed about how Obamacare will lead to hospital closings.

She can say that they are ill informed, but the facts are that Acuity Hospital in Houston is closing (as of 2011). Last year, Spring Branch Medical Center closed it’s in-patient operations. There are also physicians leaving the city, creating a potential shortage of physicians.

I am always suspect when a CONgress Critter makes claims that are outrageous. Time will tell what Obamacare will do to the 18th Congressional District, and the rest of us. Perhaps she knows her constituency better than we do. They keep electing her to represent them, despite her socialist leanings.

There are some hospitals that are scheduled for opening in the suburbs and areas around Houston, to the situation will definitely change.

We need less government regulation in the health care field. We need more free enterprise and less meddling.

We need to fact check what many of the CONgress Critters tell us.

Trouble along the New Madrid fault line?

The recent bird kills and other oddities pose potential problems for the South. This video has some interesting insights regarding some potential issues for people across the South. I have not totally researched all of this, but the potential on the South makes it worth noting and checking out. I do know that the HAARP magnometer was on at the time of the kills.

The Gravy Train reaches the end of the line

Sooner of later, it was bound to come to a head. As progressives want government to do more (and more and more). The wallet of Texas can only cover a limited amount of services and hair-brained ideas. As the Texas Legislature is meeting many issues are being considered. Some of the items under consideration for being cut include:

• More than 9,000 full-time positions for the State of Texas would be eliminated. (estimated at 9600 to be more specific)

• Four community colleges would be closed.

• Medicaid providers would see 10-percent rate reductions. This is in addition to those dictated by Obamacare.

• One or two state-supported living centers would be closed.

• One state mental hospital would be privatized.

• Community mental health services would be reduced by 40 percent.

• Medicaid managed care would be expanded throughout Texas. This would bring the hard nose HMO’s into the public sector, combining HMO’s and Public Health Care. Now those on Medicaid will have the joy of HMO’s and the joy they bring with them. (and don’t forget the changes also underway with Obamacare)

• Funding for the majority of Texas Education Agency discretionary grants would be eliminated, including funding for teacher incentive awards, Pre-K and high school completion. Many districts now have implemented hiring freezes and reducing programs in response to the budget shortfall.

• The Central Prison Unit in Sugar Land would be shuttered.

• The Texas Youth Commission would close three facilities.

The democratic legislator, Pete Gallego said, “It’s a catastrophe. No financial aid for kids to go to college. No pre-kindergarten for kids to learn their numbers and their letters. Health and human services slashed.” (editor-In terms of learning their numbers and letters, …I thought it was the parent’s job to do that, NOT the governments’. In terms of health and human services, …the question arises as to WHEN did it become the governments job to provide health care? Healthcare is NOT a right. Healthcare is not the government’s job. We need government to get out of healthcare, not get more involved.)

The proposed changes will place a burden on the people regarding educational expenses. A harsh question is “Since when was it the responsibility of the State of Texas to pay for all the education?” Texas can not continue educating both legal and illegal citizens. Lines will have to be drawn somewhere. The gravy train has to stop somewhere. While we are at it, it takes money to fund all the equality in sports programs mandated by the feds. What would help is to get the feds out of education. We need local school boards to decide what is best for the kids and their sports, NOT the feds. We need less federal meddling in curriculum, programs, etc.

With the upcoming increases in taxes and energy costs which have been supported by Democratic CONgress critters in the Imperial City (Lloyd Doggett, Sheila Jackson-Lee, Eddie Bernice Johnson, et. al), the citizens of Texas will have even less money to pay for the progressive fantasies of the politicos. At this point, the citizenry have not woken up to the reality of how the Democrats have skinned them alive and now want to blame others for what they have done in terms of debt and taxes.

One cannot tax their way into prosperity. It is not the government’s job to take care of us, we need to take care of ourselves.

This list of changes being discussed will likely change as the debate continues. One area where no changes are proposed is funding for border security.

Bear in mind that educating the illegal immigrants and having sanctuary cities has a cost. All those free lunches have to be paid for. Texas can not continue giving hand outs.

The gravy train has to stop.

Abortion and death panels don’t kill.

CONgress critter Sheila Jackson Lee has proclaimed that repealing Obamacare will result in killing Americans. Her logic is twisted beyond comprehension. How can repealing the federal funding of abortion and death panels, which amounts to killing Americans result in fewer Americans being killed? The only way that can happen is by accounting tricks of moving the number of corpses from the killed by healthcare to the ‘covered’ services’ category.

In essence her logic is “Abortion and death panels don’t kill”. That kind of twisted logic could only come from a Yankee. But wait! Sheila Jackson Lee is a Yankee. Born in Queens, and a graduate of Yale. So the logic that could only be the product of big inner city rhetoric and raising, is coming from someone born a Yankee and raised in the inner city, where abortion is not considered death and death panels don’t kill people.

We need good ole’ common sense. Abortion is murder, plain and simple. Death panels encourage killing, plain and simple. Taking the government out of health care will save lives, reduce paperwork, reduce debt and allow more people to live. Such logic it too hard for a liberal socialist like CONgress Critter Sheila Jackson Lee. (She really is a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, BTW).

She also said that it would be ‘unconstitutional’ to repeal Obamacare. This is a TRUE socialist ploy. Ever since the days of Vladamir Lenin, when he named the smallest political party the Bolsheviks (the majority) in order to fool the people. Socialists have been saying things that are 180 degress opposite the truth for a long time. This is just the latest by Comrade Sheila Jackson Lee.

Besides the common sense logic, we need honesty. Calling things what they truly are. Only a fool would believe Jackson-Lee. Remember she is the one who violated election laws and then denied it.

It is a shame that the people of the 18th Congressional district is represented by such a socialist.

Wha wha wha all the way home

CONgress Critter Lloyd Doggett has taken his whining about Governor Perry to New York. In a letter he wrote for the New York Times, in response to and called the “Texas Omen”, he frames Perry’s refusal to accept federal funds as based on him being obstinate. Doggett refers to Perry’s position as “smoke and mirrors”. He claims that Perry refused to accept the funds because he would have to use it for education (as dictated by the Feds). The piece does not point out the illegality of the funds or how it was an intentional poison pill placed in the funding bill by CONgress Critter Doggett. It neglects to state that the acceptance of the funds would be against Texas law due to the budget restrictions Texas has. Acceptance of the funds would mean that Perry would have to break the law and allow more federal control of schools.

The choice of New York is also significant. It was the fourth largest metro area contributing to his campaign in 2010 (behind Austin, Dallas and Houston), so in many ways he is catering to his paid constituents, leaving those who live in his district languishing for representation.

Texas needs to control Texas schools, not Washington. Texans need to decide what is best for Texas, not some federal panel. The CONgress Critters from Texas need to respect Texas laws and listen to their constituents rather than kowtow to New York contributors. Doggett is showing where his loyalties lie—New York. he can’t win the argument in Texas, so he takes it to New York, where few know the details of the situation and the poison pill that he inserted into the bill. The funding bill intentionally put limitations on Texas that did not exist for other states.

The Doggett amendment stipulates that if Texas receives the funds, it must keep the percentage of funding the same over the next several years. This is problematic in several ways. 1. - A portion of school funding is based on tax rates, with the amount fluctuating with property values, 2-Texas law limits funding to the two year period that each legislature covers. Funding cannot extend beyond that. His (Doggett’s) amendment would give the federal government even MORE control of Texas schools.

Doggett is up to his usual manipulation, plain and simple. Let us hope that his contributors in New York have the intelligence to see through the real smoke and mirrors for what it is.

Not all the politicos have fallen for Doggett’s rhetoric. State Senator Florence Shapiro and Texas State Representative Rob Eissler both saw through the Doggett amendment and how he went out of the way to have hurdles put into the education bill (the Edujobs bill) that ONLY applied to Texas. The representatives in Austin can see through his game. Let us hope that those in New York will as well.

We need Texans (heart and soul) deciding what is best for Texas. This idea of split loyalties of claiming to represent Texas while schmoozing New Yorkers shows that his heart is in New York rather than with the people he is sent to work for. The omen is that he needs to fight for Texas rather than against us.

The hired help needs more supervision.

Terrorists on parade in the Imperial City

One can tell a lot by the company people keep. The same is true of nations. In the latest, the Palestine Liberation Organization (which glorifies hard core terrorists) has raised its flag in the Imperial City of Washington. This has a bearing on the South for three reasons.

1) The empire displays a double standard by approving the existence of this group as a legitimate nation and delegation, while suppressing the people of the South. How can they approve of Kosovo and the PLO which are of questionable legitimacy as nations, yet deny the nationhood of its own Southern people?

2) The empire is approving this delegation is giving tacit approval to their tactics of suicide bombing (which amounts to self-immolation -Molech style) and terrorist activity, while at the same time claiming to be conducting a war on terrorism. They are living a double-standard. It is strange how the empire supports arming these people, yet wants to remove the arms of its own citizenry.

3) The existence of the delegation is an expression of the empire sticking its nose in the affairs of other sovereign people (Israel). The empire has been telling them how to conduct their business, who to associate with and where they can live, in true imperial style.

The association of the empire with baby-killing terrorists like the PLO says a great deal. It communicates that they have no morals, they have no principles and they will do anything to oppress the Southern peoples. The empire is up for sale to the highest bidder for their bonds.

We need a return to a government that has morals, principles and courage. We need one that does not meddle in the affairs of other nations and play king maker. We need a government that allows us liberty rather than selling us out.

The Cherokee fly in the ointment.

The Atlanta newspaper (AJC) recently ran an attack piece on Ray McBerry after he made comments about blacks fighting for the Confederacy. With the 150th anniversary fo the War of Southern Secession now upon us, attack pieces like this will likely come out more frequently, as the empire works to continue its myths. It will be fun to watch such arguments in the light of the recent tribal court ruling concerning the Cherokee tribe. The court ruled that the tribe must admit descendants of slaves held by the Cherokees as members of the tribe. Besides being an attack on tribal sovereignty, the ruling raises new questions. Being that the “Cherokee Braves” fought for the Confederacy under their own flag, how will liberal rags, now deal with that issue. Since the descendants of slaves are now members of the Cherokee tribe (since according to the court black=Cherokee), it means some of their ancestors DID fight for the Confederacy, and that the cause of the South is theirs as well, despite what the AJC may print.

I guess the empire wants to have their cake and eat it to.

With all the redefining of who is a Cherokee, it changes the myths of the empire.

It was said long ago that “The Cause of the South, is the Cause of us all.” That phrase is more true now than it was then.

Dabney nailed this one!

The 19th century theologian (and UT professor), Robert L. Dabney once commented that when you build more public schools, you will have to build more prisons. He clearly saw the connection between government schools and government prisons. If you had a chance to read the whole article that his comment came from, you would realize that he addressed how the same mindset is in both and that the government schools prepare people for prison.

Some of his critics disliked what he said, but he was right on. The Texas Apple Seed Project exposed how many government educators are behind the ‘pipeline’ from school to prison. Here is there report on the ‘School to Prison Pipeline’. Had those in the Apple Seed Project only read Dabney, they would have known this a long time ago. Had those people on the Apple Seed Project spent more time reading Dabney rather than MLK they would not have been shocked at what they found in the government schools and how they DO indeed often lead to prison.

There is a lot of wisdom with those old writers. With Confederate Hero’s Day approaching, it would do us well to re-read their insights and consider how it would help us today.
