More Federal disdain of Texas laws

It seems that whenever Texas passes a law that the empire does not like, that the favorite tool of the liberals and socialists is using lawsuits and the courts to rule against it. Rather than working to change public opinion, or make a better law themselves, the courts are used to hammer away at any act the empire deems not in its best interest. In the latest, Federal Judge Sam Sparks struck down a key provision in the sonogram bill. Of course, the lawsuit was filed by a group out of New York. Never mind that no New Yorkers have been impacted by the bill, none have been injured by the bill and the bill does not even apply within the state of New York. In typical Yankee meddling mindset, they want to change Texas laws, and use the federal courts to do so.

It is sad that meddling Yankees are working so hard at continuing to decide what is best for us Texans. (Remember it is the Yankee lawfirm of Bracewell and Gulianni that often represents Hugo Chavez and his interest in the US). We do not need more meddling Yankees.

It is also sad that Sam Sparks is a Texan. His rulings are more of a scalawag nature than those of a Texan. He ruled against the Confederate flag when the citizens of Hays County wanted to take Confederate flags to their football games, he ruled against the Institute of Creation Research when they wanted to offer a Master’s Degree for Creation Sciences, he has ruled against deporting and jailing Illegal aliens and NOW wants to gut the sonogram law. His ruling against the Confederate flag should have told us something early on. He has shown a pattern of ruling against the people in these cases. It is admirable that he does not tolerate foolishness in his court from the attorneys. Never mind the foolishness from the bench, the attorneys are not allowed to do so.

We do not need scalawag judges who care more for the whims of New Yorkers than the wishes of Texans. We do not need jurists who care more for special interest groups than for the free speech of Texans. We do not need someone who denies the offering of academic degrees that have a religious basis since he does not agree with them.

The latest ruling is the latest slap in the face as the empire and its minions show disdain for the wishes of the people of Texas. It was federal judges that struck down Texas laws on abortion in the first place. It was federal judges that struck down Texas laws on sodomy based on international law rulings rather than US court rulings. It has been federal judges that took away local control of Texas prisons. We need a judiciary that respects the wishes of the people and local control rather than activist minions of the empire always seeking to undermine Texas authority and increase federal authority. Do they not read the 10th amendment where all the power not specifically given to the federal government belongs to the states. That includes laws regarding deporting criminal trespassers, public display of Confederate flags at football games, abortion restrictions, allowing Texas to decide what degrees its colleges can offer, control of State Prisons, etc.

The federal judiciary has shown a contempt for the Constitution in their many activist rulings, which are blatant disregard of the authority that allow them their role. Many of their rulings are illegal in terms of the Constitution since those rulings are making judgements in areas beyond the scope of authority they were originally given.

We need judges who abide by Constitutional limits. We need judges who respect the laws of Texas, rather then bending and molding them to their whims. We need judges who judge the merit of a case based on limits placed on them in the Constitution.

We need Liberty

Like clock work, people hate Obamacare and the rhetoric heats up

Like clock work, as the public support for Obamacare hits and all time low, the politicians are cranking out rhetoric to pump up their program. The new rhetoric likens Obamacare to the civil rights campaign of the 60’s. The latest spokesman is Jay Angoff who is an assistant to Kathleen Sebalius. You can watch these underlings launch the trial balloons before the big people jump on the band wagon of Obamacare.

The irony of likening it to the civil rights is telling. The same people who brought you the efficiency of the post office now want to provide healthcare. Yes, those same persons who brought you unfunded mandates and forced busing now want to force you to pay for services you will never receive. They want you to forcibly contribute and participate in the plan. (Bear in mind they want everyone in the pool so as to lower cost for the very sick ones, yet force those of you who chose to exercise self-discipline to underwrite those who did not). Eventually, there will be ‘lifestyle’ police who make sure that you eat right and follow government regulations. Remember this same bureaucracy that can not protect the border now wants to protect your health.

Many in the public have seen through the rhetoric of the propaganda cranked out by the political machines. They see that Obamacare means they will have less coverage, more government control of their lives, higher medical costs, health care rationing and poorer quality health care providers.

Instead of Obamacare, we need the liberty that comes with freedom of choice in choosing who we want to see. Instead of health care rationing, we need the freedom to pay for whatever health services we desire. Instead of mandates, we need less government regulation of the health care field. Instead of government dictating what access we have to milk, cheese, vitamins and raw foods, we need the freedom to choose for ourselves. We need less government in health care rather than more.

Lloyd Doggett is looking for more money again!

Congress Critter Lloyd Doggett is not happy with the taxes you now have to pay. He is always looking for more ways to get money that is not his. His latest is The International Tax Competitiveness Act of 2011. It seems that if you are making money abroad, he feels entitled to your money. He wants companies that have foreign offices to pay the same amounts as local businesses. If you have an international business that does any business in the US, he wants you to pay.

Not only does Lloyd want you to pay, 60 Minutes has done a segment on it as well. Rather than lower the taxes or adhere to legal Constitutional parameters, Lloyd and his ilk seek foreign monies in the name of ‘fairness’, and wanting others to pay their fair share. Recall that 150 years ago, the empire was financed by tariffs, and there was no need for internal taxes at all. With the empire growing, it wants MORE, MORE, MORE. The latest ploy is to talk about what is fair and unfair, rather than lowering the taxes or removing unnecessary governmental regulations (like his poison pill for Rick Perry in the school funds), he chooses to chase after MORE. The current financial situation makes his actions look like he is being ‘fair’ when under normal circumstances, we would call such actions as over-reaching or greedy. Any way you slice it, his proposed bill is more taxes, which increases the size of government rather than shrinking it. We need smaller government that has less power. We need fewer regulations rather than more like he proposes.

Lloyd has again forgotten that he is supposed to represent Texas and his district rather than scouring the world looking for new victims to fleece. Rather than finding funds for border protection, or jailing criminal aliens or reducing red tape on Texas power plants, he instead wants more money from abroad.

We need more liberty, not more Lloyd and his ilk.

Getting the feds to pay thier bills

It took Texas nearly 40 years to finally get paid from the federal government for protecting the borders of Texas after we joined the Union. It was Governor L S Ross that finally collected a bill in the 1880’s that had been left unpaid since the 1840’s. Now we have another Governor in Rick Perry who is seeking to do the same. Perry is sending a bill to Uncle Sam for the cost of jailing illegal aliens. It is only logical, since the fed forces us to educate their children (at our expense), that the federalies should pay for us cleaning up their mess of not protecting the border.

Prior to Governor Ross, many Texas Governors had tried and failed to collect. It remains to be seen if Perry will be another ‘Sul’ Ross (who was also the first President of Perry’s alma mater) or will he be like Ross’ predecessors.

The feds have rarely honored their agreement with us (as in annexation) or fulfilled their part of the agreement (one of which was that they would protect the border). When one party refuses or fails to hold to their side of the bargain, how can you expect the other party to do so?

As Donnie Kennedy says, ‘If you can’t leave, you are not free!”

More strong arm federal raids! From cheese and milk to guitars

In another heavy handed move, the empire showed its power by raiding a guitar factory with locations in Memphis and Nashville. Agents from the Fish and Wildlife Service raided Gibson guitars and are mum regarding what it was for as they stole (seized) property at the locations. Bear in mind the feds were not enforcing US law, but rather their interpretation of the Laws of India/Madagascar!

Experts suspect the raids have something to do with ebony wood being used in the instruments. If the wood comes from sources not approved of (according to Indian law), the federal authorities jump in. How is it that the feds do not enforce our laws on immigration, but will enforce the laws of other nations on US citizens? Never mind that the borders of our own nation are not protected, or our people are protected from the criminal acts of illegal immigrants, …THEY will enforce and protect us from illegal wood products, and enforce the laws of other nations.

To make matters worse, Gibson guitars was told by the regime, that if they outsourced their work to Madagascar, their problems would ‘just go away’.

At this rate, they will begin enforcing toilet bowl sizes and shower heads in order to make sure that they comply with meddlesome federal regulations.

The empire’s federal force has now moved from raiding a family cheese farm in Missouri (Morningland) to raw milk as in the Rawsome Milk raid to Guitars.

The use of raw power in raiding cheese, milk and guitars as potential threats to the public, while allowing immigrants with anti-American views and underwriting their relocation is tolerated shows some social schizophrenia in this regime.

We need a government that focuses on the real threats to American lives. We need a government that secures the borders from illegal immigrants. Instead of meddlesome regulations, we need liberty to play whatever guitar we choose, eat whatever food we wish and to go where we wish without government interference.

Cell phones and comfy beds required for goat herders

The empire continues its constant meddling. The latest consists of federal regulations posted for those foreigners being employed as ‘goat herders’. The new regulations put out by the department of Labor require that they be provided with comfortable beds and cell phones. The new regulations also cover food preparation and other support.

When a regime is focused on goat herders, they have too much time on their hands. Instead of being concerned about goat herding regulations, the department of labor would be doing something more productive if they addressed unemployment issues by reducing the number of regulations on employers or even cut the salaries of those who come up with such regulations in order to reduce unnecessary government programs. To me, it seems that the Department of Labor would be a natural choice to handle labor problems. (Note: As a Southron, the best solutions are not those provided by government, but rather those provided by private business and individuals. More government is NEVER the solution. MORE regulation is not the solution. You can not go wrong with LESS government, LESS regulation and LOWER expenses.

Instead of an empire that over-regulates so many areas of our livelihoods, we need fewer regulations.

Is using American law in American courts racism?

I almost lost my biscuits when I saw the article talking about how Mohammedeans are planning to sue Michigan for their banning of foreign law. The part that got my goat was when they made the claim that it was “Racism“.

It is a sad day when the courts in America can not use American law to try cases. I wonder if they use US law in trying cases in Saudi Arabia? There is no way they use foreign law in those courts! Using foreign law is not racism in any sense of the word. It is law. The law each nation develops is designed for their own courts and heritage. To throw the claim of racism in their is preposterous.

The law to use is the one that a person is accountable to. By using foreign law, those persons are claiming foreign sovereignty. They are proclaiming allegiance to another authority and denying any accountability to the powers that be. It is one thing if tribal courts are used for crimes done on tribal lands. It is quite another for a Mohammedean to use sharia law in courts where US laws are in effect. This is a DANGEROUS precedent. If allowed to continue, the possibility of honor killings and rape will become allowable on US soil.

Although this is happening in Michigan, it poses threats to Southern laws and Southern courts as well.

Instead of foreign laws, we need immigrants to obey the laws of the nation they are in.

So much for civil discourse…

The hired help are getting restless. Congress Critter, Maxine Watters came out and said that the Tea Party can ‘go straight to hell‘. It does not matter that she has already sent the nation to hell with her endorsement of massive debt, and massive wars. She wants those who advocate fiscally responsible government to go straight to hell.

Ironically, the states with the highest unemployment are ….California and Nevada. States that sent Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Harry Reid, Maxine Watters and Henry Waxman as hired hands to the Imperial City where there is rarely a handout that they can refuse. Now that they are reaping what they have sown, they do not like it. They want other states to bail them out of their mess.

It continues amusing me how when the liberals are not in the drivers seat, they lie, call names or incite fear. Rather than debate the issues, it is easier to stir up trouble. I am also amused how a voter’s guide put out by the League in 1998 is being used to make Perry look bad. It says quite a bit for actions taken by the League in 1998 to still have ramifications. I suspect that it is not that the liberal media pays that much attention to us, it is more a matter of their standard fear tactics. Rather than view the blog to see how many times his scalawag behaviors have been pointed out, they choose instead to focus on 1998. The League has been very disappointed in many things that Perry has done (the Trans-Texas Corridor his relationship with Aga Kahn[ which is a stealth jihadist/ and the Gardasil debacle to name three). He did take steps to protect the border, including calling out the Texas Rangers, and took stands against the forced implementation of Obamacare, which are both good things.

Instead of looking at the issues, the liberals, to focus on a fixed time in the past and use it to incite fear, rather than facing the current situation and facts for what they are. Rather than talk about endorsements, look at whether or not a candidate is going to protect the borders, whether they will operate within their budget, whether they will respect the rule of law as in the Constitution, what their character is and who they associate with. Little is made of Farrakan’s noted hate speech and his support of the Obama regime, or the hate groups $PLC, or the Black Panthers, or the Weathermen, but I guess liberals (aka socialists) use a different standard for their candidates.

We need liberty in the South. We need the liberty to discuss issues rather than censor them. We need dialogue rather than threats and name calling.

Smartgrids and Technocracy

The people are waking up to the dangers posed by smartgrids. Although the power companies and government control freaks tout the smart grids as something that will benefit the consumer, you need to have your eyes open. Remember how the lottery was portrayed as a big financial help to Texas schools? Then why are so many districts wanting even more money through tax rate increases? We were sold a pig in a poke then and we are being sold one now.

The government control freaks like how the smartgrid enables them to track not only electricity use, but what you use it on. They can also control it at a central location. We are now going through a tough summer in terms of electrical demand, and the grid is holding without the smart grid. Here in Texas, the smart grid folks have already told us that they plan on selling it to us by claiming that it will give us better wireless internet services. Folks! Wake up, if they are monitoring your power use, they will also be monitoring your internet use and where you go, all from one central location.

Bear in mind that the NSA constructed a huge data center in San Antonio which can handle this information. (It is also note worthy that San Antonio was chosen due to it being on an independent power grid, which makes it MORE reliable). That ought to wake you up. Even the government knows that independent grids are more reliable than the smart ones.

We need more liberty rather than more control.

The regime’s tractor gambit

There has been intense debate about the empire’s Department of Transportation recommendations on those driving tractors. The department (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) issued a new regulation that “require anyone using farm equipment to obtain a Commercial Drivers License”. This was accomplished by re-classifying farm equipment so that it would fall under these new guidelines.

When Texas Governor Rick Perry made reference to the new regulation, the DOT was fast to deny that any changes had been made. Although technically, the DOT did not require the drivers licenses for tractor operators, the changes proposed by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration do. This creates a ‘plausible deniability” on the behalf of the federal bureaucrats. They can deny the changes, due to technicalities. The deniability is an attempt to make Perry look bad while providing cover for the regime and its ever-expanding control games.

Bottom line, the government are making more red tape every day, rather than reducing it. They do not like looking foolish or bad, or being caught in the middle of their scams. Make no mistake, the empire wants all the control it can put its paws on. This is the same government that raided rawsome foods and wants Morningside Family Farm to destroy its cheeses, because they are not playing the government’s control games. The empire is no friend of farmers or of family values. It has shown that in its policies and priorities. It cannot protect the border, but they sure can conduct SWAT raids on dairies and family farms.

We need a return to sane government that protects the borders rather than meddles with tractor driving, family farms and what kind of milk people drink. We need a government that leaves the people alone who are minding their own business and feeding their own families.
